Enabling Seamless Ethernet to the Field with 10BASE-T1L Connectivity | Analog Devices
10BASE-T1L core capability is a full duplex, dc balanced, point-to-point communication scheme with PAM 3 modulation at a 7.5 MBd symbol rate with 4B3T coding. It supports two amplitude modes: 2.4 V peak-to-peak up to 1000 m cable and 1.0 V peak-to-peak at a reduced distance. The 1.0 V peak-to-peak amplitude mode means that this new physical layer technology can also be used in the environment of explosion-proof (Ex-proof) systems and meet the strict maximum energy restrictions. It enables long transmission distance on 2-wire technology with both power and data on a single twisted pair cable and it belongs to the family of singlepair Ethernet (SPE) media.
10BASE-T1L enables significantly higher power delivery to field devices; up to 500 mW in Zone 0 (intrinsically safe) applications. This is compared to approximately 36 mW with 4 mA to 20 mA devices. In nonintrinsically safe applications, up to 60 W of power is possible depending on the cable used.

Mystery guest takes over Jasper Park Lodge — the entire hotel — for 9-week booking | CBC News
Officials at the Fairmont hotel, located inside Jasper National Park, confirmed the reservation on Tuesday but declined to say who will be enjoying the property's mountain views and luxury room service for the 65 days between Feb. 23 and April 29. The dates are blacked out on Fairmont's reservation website and a call to the front desk concierge confirmed that no rooms will be made available. Guests who had previously made bookings for that time frame have had their reservations cancelled, stirring speculation online.

Robinhood Caps Maximum Holdings In 36 Stocks To Just One Share | ZeroHedge
In other words, as of this moment, no client is allowed to one more than 1 share in names like GME, AMC, AG, BBBY, BYND, WKHS and many others. Even boring, low vol names like GM and SBUX are limited to just one share.
Panicked clients who are wondering if this means that their current holdings which exceed 1 laughable share will be forcefully liquidated can breathe for now: the company said that "outside of our standard margin-related sellouts or options assignment procedures, your positions will not be sold for the sole reason that you are currently over the limit. However, you will not be able to open more positions of each of these securities unless you sell enough of your holdings such that you are below the respective limit." (we expect that to change on Monday, if the company is still around.)

HN thread on SEC statement Statement of SEC Regarding Recent Market Volatility | Hacker News
- re Dick fuld of Lehman Brothers:
Yes, Lehman was doing a bunch of stupid stuff, and the management under Dick were behaving like cowboys. But at the end of the day, that was the entire market at that time. What sunk Lehman was, in the end, a decision by all of the other big banks and the regulators that they’d let Lehman die because of something that might be best summarized as “lol idk sorry Dick but we’re just gonna let you go and let the Fed bail the rest of us out sorry bro lol.” Like really. That’s how it went behind those closed doors in the lairs of the lizards that control the universe. Lehman had already suffered near-death in 1994 — the world has now forgotten that Dick was the hero that saved the firm back then — and now it was to be made a sacrificial lamb for everyone else’s benefit.
Why am I telling you this story? What is the point? Well, what I am trying to say is that these supposed “adults in the room” who are so much smarter and better than the the “retail investors” are pretty much the same sort of immature, self-centered children as the other side. The difference is, they’ve got the regulators and the politicians in their pockets. So when they say “lol oops” and literally blow up the global economy to save face, nothing happens to them. But for some reason when it’s the retail guys, a moral panic ensues.

“Wall Street corporations cannot limit public access to the free market, nor should they censor discussion surrounding it, particularly for their own benefit. This apparent coordination between hedge funds, trading platforms, and web servers to shut down threats to their market dominance is shockingly unprecedented and wrong. It stinks of corruption,” said Attorney General Paxton.

This is for you, Dad.
I remember when the housing collapse sent a torpedo through my family. My father's concrete company collapsed almost overnight. My father lost his home. My uncle lost his home. I remember my brother helping my father count pocket change on our kitchen table. That was all the money he had left in the world. While this was happening in my home, I saw hedge funders literally drinking champagne as they looked down on the Occupy Wall Street protestors. I will never forget that.
My Father never recovered from that blow. He fell deeper and deeper into alcoholism and exists now as a shell of his former self, waiting for death.
This is all the money I have and I'd rather lose it all than give them what they need to destroy me. Taking money from me won't hurt me, because i don't value it at all. I'll burn it all down just to spite them.

(September 1, 1987) Trump: U.S. Should Stop Paying To Defend Countries that Can Protect Selves
Real estate developer Donald J. Trump bought full-page ads in three major U.S. newspapers to say the United States should stop paying to defend countries that can afford to protect themselves. The advertisements appeared in Wednesday’s New York Times, Washington Post and Boston Globe at a total cost of $94,801, said Trump spokesman Daniel Klores.
Asked if Trump’s letter had anything to do with political aspirations, Klores said, ″Right now Donald Trump has no ambition to seek political office of any kind.″

Capitol riot: Pipe bombs found on January 6 were placed the night before, FBI says - CNNPolitics
A new wanted poster says the bombs were placed between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on January 5, the night before the insurrection.
The bombs were discovered within minutes of each other around 1 p.m. ET on January 6, just around the time that a mob of angry supporters of President Donald Trump descended on the building after a nearby rally with the President, according to an account the acting chief of the US Capitol gave to lawmakers Tuesday and the FBI poster.
