Things get a little noisy, but the overall correlation is uncanny. Schools opened more in the fall, suicide attempts rose. Schools closed for winter vacation, suicide attempts plunged for a time. The 2021 portion of the graph is particularly startling. As the percent of open schools approached 75% of normal, the number of suicide attempts increased suddenly.
