Schools opened, suicide attempts in girls skyrocketed.
When Covid-19 erupted on American soil in March of 2020, schools closed en masse. Right when that happened, suicide attempts among teen girls dropped. Things get a little noisy, but the overall correlation is uncanny. Schools opened more in the fall, suicide attempts rose. Schools closed for winter vacation, suicide attempts plunged for a time. The 2021 portion of the graph is particularly startling. As the percent of open schools approached 75% of normal, the number of suicide attempts increased suddenly.

Taibbi: The Luke Harding Experiment | ZeroHedge
When you run a major expose and nobody picks it up, it’s a serious black eye editorially, one that impacts other writers on the staff. The Guardian (which did not respond to queries) must have known what the reaction to this latest anonymously sourced “expose” would be. So why run it? Either it’s one of the great all-time double-downs, or the paper has committed to being an ongoing experiment in publishing transparent trial balloons for the intelligence community.

The Senate’s E-BIKE Act could make electric bikes a lot cheaper
Schatz and Markey’s legislation would offer Americans a refundable tax credit worth 30 percent of a new e-bike’s purchase price, capped at $1,500. All three e-bike classes would be eligible for the tax credit, but bikes with motors more powerful than 750W would not. The credit would also be fully refundable, which would allow lower-income individuals to claim it.

The sunlight that powers solar panels also damages them. 'Gallium doping' is providing a solution
But these patents finally expired in May 2020. Since then, the industry has rapidly shifted from boron to gallium to make p-type silicon. In fact, at the start of 2021, leading photovoltaic manufacturer Hanwha Q Cells estimated about 80% of all solar panels manufactured in 2021 used gallium doping rather than boron — a massive transition in such a short time!
