Apocalyptic cults use psychological tricks to brainwash their followers
We often hear about how dangerous the “echo chamber” of the online world is. Our fears, biases, and paranoias are reinforced and given fuel by the constant reinforcement of others. Now, multiply and amplify that effect, and you can imagine a cult. In normal, everyday interactions, you run up against competing ideas. Your friend might ask, “Are you sure about that?” In a cult, there is no dissent and no checks on the fanatical dogma you are given.

The Resilience Of Republican Christianism
The fusion of Trump and Christianism is an unveiling of a sort — proof of principle that, in its core, Christianism is not religious but political, a reactionary cult susceptible to authoritarian preachers. And Christianism is to the American right what critical theory is to the American left: a reductionist, totalizing creed that “others” half the country, and deeply misreads the genius of the American project.

Israel uses F-35I to shoot down cruise missile, a first for Joint Strike Fighter.
The cruise missile was likely launched from the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, although the IDF did not specify the launch site.
On Oct. 18, the Houthis in Yemen launched drones and cruise missiles toward Israel, with the Pentagon saying the USS Carney intercepted 15 drones and four cruise missiles over 9 hours. Another attack was launched on Oct. 27, but the projectiles landed in Egypt. And on Oct. 31 Israel used its Arrow system, which was jointly developed with the US, to intercept a ballistic missile from Yemen.
