Around 1500 years ago, in the year 536, the Sun seemingly vanished from the sky, plunging the world into darkness, casting an eerie pallor over the Earth for an extended period. Cassiodorus, a Roman statesman, described the year as “A winter without storms, a spring without mildness, and a summer without heat”.

False claim states removed Lincoln from ballot in 1860
Lincoln was not removed from any ballots in the 1860 election. Parties, not states, administered ballots during that election, and since Lincoln's Republican party was virtually nonexistent in the South he wasn't on those ballots in the first place.

The Nationalization of Boeing Begins
Trump was, if possible, even more solicitous of Boeing than Obama. Trump allowed Boeing’s CEO to sit in on a call between the Air Force general and a Boeing rival, Lockheed Martin, in a conversation about the F-35 program. Trump appointed Boeing exec Pat Shanahan to run the Pentagon in 2019. Shanahan had to resign over domestic violence allegations, but after his Trump administration service, Shanahan became the President and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems, which made the door that blew out on the Alaska Air flight.

Pelosi accuses some protesters demanding Gaza cease-fire of having ties to Russia
"For them to call for a cease-fire is Mr. Putin's message," she said. "Make no mistake, this is directly connected to what he would like to see. Same thing with Ukraine. It's about Putin's message. I think some of these protesters are spontaneous and organic and sincere. Some, I think, are connected to Russia. And I say that having looked at this for a long time now, as you know."

Three US troops killed in drone attack in Jordan, at least two dozen injured.
US Central Command confirmed in a statement on Sunday that three service members were killed and 25 injured in a one-way drone attack that “impacted at a base in northeast Jordan.” President Joe Biden vowed on Sunday to hold those responsible for the attack “to account,” saying that while facts are still being gathered, “We know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq.”

Secret EU plan 'to sabotage Hungarian economy' revealed as anger mounts at Orbán
Officials in Brussels have reportedly drawn up a secret plan to sabotage Hungary’s economy if Viktor Orbán decides this week to again block a €50bn support package for Ukraine. The plan, reported by the Financial Times, reflects the fury mounting across European capitals at what one diplomat called the “policy of blackmail” being pursued by the Hungarian prime minister, who leads the bloc’s most pro-Russia state. The FT said the strategy involved targeting Hungary’s economy, weakening its currency and reducing investor confidence.
In a document drawn up by EU officials and seen by the Financial Times, Brussels has outlined a strategy to explicitly target Hungary’s economic weaknesses, imperil its currency and drive a collapse in investor confidence in a bid to hurt “jobs and growth” if Budapest refuses to lift its veto against the aid to Kyiv.
