Al Jazeera Media Institute: The Tip of the Iceberg of Qatar's Trojan Horse
Qatar has found a way to expand its narrative reach not by winning trust in its own brand, but by ensuring its worldview is echoed throughout the global press—by thousands of reporters, editors, and producers who now unconsciously speak in Al Jazeera’s voice, even if they work for entirely different organizations.

Autonomous vehicles are the centrifugal water pump of the roads. Just like the Ogalalla Aquifer, most roads are currently free at the point of use. And just like the Ogalalla Aquifer, they will be overused if we do not charge for the privilege of drawing on them. Anyone who needs to get where they’re going quickly will be stuck in traffic with all the people enjoying a beer, working from a mobile office, or having a nap. There will be total gridlock.

I Regret the Blood Pact I Have Made with iCloud Photos
The kindest and least cynical interpretation of the state of iCloud Photos is that Apple does not care nearly enough about this “absolutely priceless” data. (A more cynical explanation is, of course, that services revenue has compromised Apple’s standards.) Many of these photos are, in fact, priceless to me, which is why I am questioning whether I want iCloud involved at all. I certainly have no reason to give Apple more money each month to keep wrecking my library.

JD Vance says aliens are 'demons' and details obsession with UFOs
JD Vance, the vice-president of the United States, said this weekend that he considers aliens to be “demons”. As the war in Iran continues, petrol and grocery prices soar and chaos continues at US airports as a partial government shutdown endures, Vance appeared on the conservative Benny Show podcast, released Saturday, to promise that he would spend time looking into what he called his “obsession” with UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors.

Bullet used to kill Charlie Kirk did NOT match rifle allegedly used by suspect
The bullet that killed conservative commentator Charlie Kirk did not match the rifle used by suspected killer Tyler Robinson, a bombshell new court filing states. Robinson, 22, is facing capital murder charges and a potential death sentence for Kirk's murder at Utah Valley University on September 10. But his defense attorneys now argue that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives 'was unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr Robinson.'
