  • How Americans think about censorship of news in the U.S.

Many say the government should be able to force a news organization to take down a story if it is inaccurate or could endanger national security, or that social media companies should be able to take down posts for these reasons. But far fewer say either action is acceptable when it comes to posts that are politically slanted or critical of the government. And relatively few people say it is acceptable for the owner of a news organization to stop a story from being published because it goes against their political or business interests.

  • Lindsay Clancy holdout juror's brother reveals details about why he chose guilty

The juror had a restraining order against him from the nephew at the time he was picked for the Clancy jury — and it expired during the trial, court documents reveal. The brother also said that the devoutly Catholic Haitian immigrant clan has been relentlessly hounded by true-crime gawkers and reporters since the juror refused to agree with the 11 others and find Clancy not guilty of murder by reason of insanity after she killed her three kids. “My family cannot leave the house,” the brother said. “They are leaving notes at my mother’s house. They won’t leave us alone and we don’t know anything,” he added.
