Bow To Our Future Overlords - by Robin Hanson
I’m not sure quite how best to persuade you all of this, but world population will soon fall fast, and then unless we achieve full AGI or end aging by then, our total world economic capacity will also fall, with scale economies and innovation rates both falling roughly in proportion. Actually innovation will fall faster due to diminishing returns, populations getting older, and lower-than-Western African innovation quality.

Report on household debt and credit Q3 2023
Aggregate household debt balances increased by $228 billion in the third quarter of 2023, a 1.3% rise from 2023Q2. Balances now stand at $17.29 trillion and have increased by $3.1 trillion since the end of 2019, just before the pandemic recession.
Delinquency transition rates increased for all product types, except for student loans. Missed federal student loan payments will not be reported to credit bureaus until 2024Q4. Because of these policies, less than 1% of aggregate student debt was reported 90+ days delinquent or in default in 2023Q3 and will remain low until at least 2024Q4.

Opinion | Why Great G.D.P. Growth Isn’t Good Enough for Bidenomics - The New York Times
The mortal enemy of Bidenomics isn’t Donald Trump; it’s a reliance on aggregate and average numbers that mask the nature of the economy Americans experience. Focusing on G.D.P. is a mistake, as it obscures the range of financial success and hardship in an economy as unequal as that of the United States.

The dangers of reproducing while old
I think this qualitative description matches the data: Risks start rising at around 30 years old for both mothers and fathers, rises gradually through about 35 for mothers and 40 for fathers, and then sharply after that.
